AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The International Journal of Unani and Traditional Medicine (IJUTM) published by the Federation of Holistic & Traditional Medicine (FHT), serves as a transdisciplinary platform for traditional and integrative health sciences. It aims to explore the relationships between Unani and other internationally recognized traditional medicines within contemporary health sciences, fostering meaningful communication and collaboration to promote effective, safe, and affordable global health. This journal provides an invaluable platform for researchers, academicians, practitioners, and scholars to disseminate cutting-edge research, scholarly articles, and critical analyses that contribute to the growing body of knowledge covering all scientific aspects in the field of Unani, traditional medicine, folk practices, and biomedicine to facilitate integrative approaches to global healthcare by bringing it into the public domain as a preferred system. IJUTM encourages collaboration and communication between professional, academic, and scientific communities. It publishes critical aspects of intellectual and scientific communication focused on Unani and other traditional medicines to facilitate integrative approaches to global healthcare. Articles explaining and exploring principles of Unani and other traditional medicines; theoretical, experimental, and clinical research; evidence-based clinical practice promoting transdisciplinary research culture; and mainstreaming traditional medicine using advances in contemporary medical sciences, basic sciences, and technology; as well as articles envisioning future scope, research areas, and priorities, will be considered for publication. IJUTM also encourages articles investigating the history and biological effects of traditional medicines, pharmacological and physiological interventions, photochemistry, molecular mechanisms, proteomics, genomics, metabolomics, safety, quality control, clinical trials, and case studies. It welcomes research that endeavours to design and develop new protocols, reporting standards, and translations into healthcare systems. As a reflection of its commitment to academic integrity and scholarly standards, The International Journal of Unani and Traditional Medicine adheres to the rigorous ethical guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). This ensures that the highest ethical standards are maintained throughout the publication process, safeguarding the integrity, credibility, and reliability of the research presented within the journal.
